In Spring 2020, Marie Burns and Ned Pugh moved to Winters from Davis, where they previously had lived for 20 and 10 years, respectively. Both have spent their lives in academic biomedical research, living mostly in urban centers like Philadelphia or the Bay Area until a flash of fate lured them to this amazing property almost overnight.
